British electronics distributor Premier Farnell Plc posted a 25 percent rise in second-quarter operating profit on Thursday and said it expected to make progress in the second half compared with last year. The group said it had seen strong second-quarter sales growth, with sales per day from continuing operations up 10.8 percent, as it benefited from selling units falling under Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) rules. More
