Quantum Corp. DSS, a global leader in storage, today announced that revenue for its fiscal first quarter (FQ1′07), ended June 30, 2006, was $187 million. This was down 10 percent from the same quarter last year (FQ1′06), partly due to a greater-than-expected decline in sales of legacy products and general weakness in OEM sales. In addition, revenues were negatively impacted by two unusual factors — end-of-life product transitions resulting from the need to comply with the European directive on the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances (RoHS) and the effect on media royalties of a price increase by a major OEM. href="http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/providerarticle.asp?feed=PR&Date=20060726&ID=5898666">More
