Green Printers to Run Unleaded for RoHS Compliance
Auto-ID specialist Zebra Technologies has fully converted its thermal printers to be in compliance with the European Union’s (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, the company has announced. Zebra said its successfully introduced lead-free components into its product portfolio not only to ensure uninterrupted product shipments for customers in Europe but also as part of its overall intention to help protect and preserve the earth’s natural resources. In addition to reducing or eliminating the use of hazardous substances, Zebra’s environmental policy calls for conserving resources, reducing energy consumption and designing for recycling. More
