RF Monolithics, Inc. to Comply With EU’s RoHS Standards
“RF Monolithics, Inc. (Nasdaq:RFMI) (RFM) a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of radio frequency wireless solutions announced that all of its products will be compliant with the European Union’s (EU) Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) directive by the July 6, 2006, deadline. The RoHS directive provides that electrical and electronic equipment sold in the EU after the deadline cannot contain significant amounts of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) except where technically exempted by the directive. RFM’s specification sheets for products that currently comply with RoHS directives have the notation “Complies with Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS)” and are identified with a universal Lead Free Symbol.” Source: businesswire.com
